The North Dakota Kennedy Center is a welcoming, inclusive community hub. We work together with individuals and organizations to support diversity and create an environment that fosters social, economic, and environmental justice.

Kennedy Center building history

Late in 1966, there was talk of a possible project to build a permanent North Dakota Democratic-NPL headquarters in the capital city of Bismarck. Earlier projects and dreams like that one talked of before without resulting in a serious effort. But this time was different. On November 6, 1971, Senator Ted Kennedy participated in the official dedication for the Kennedy Memorial Center.
