KFYR 550 Radio

I really do think Spring has sprung.   Oh, hasn’t it been so beautiful.  I’m cleaning the garage today and it feels so good to get all the dirt, leaves, pebble , etc. etc.  swept out.  And then to get ready for the outdoor furniture, plants, and mowers.

I had another almost new experience this past week.  Todd Mitchell, KFYR 550 Radio, was out in New Salem at Tellmann’s Market on Friday, March 24 to do his afternoon talk show from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  I was asked to come and talk about the OLD RED TRAIL.  It was a fun few minutes telling about the 108 miles that comprises the TRAIL, a couple interesting stops along the way, the Talking Trail Signs, and of course the Rummage Sale on June 3, 2017.  The OLD RED TRAIL SCENIC BYWAY became an office Byway in 2008 and is the 10th and longest Byway in the state of North Dakota.    Thanks to Todd Mitchell and KFYR for including the smaller and progressive towns in North Dakota.

The only other time I have ever been on the radio was in 1961 when I attended the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago as the North Dakota Foods Winner.  I was interviewed by Andy Griffith!!!!  I do remember that moment even though again it was probably only a minute.

Congratulations to Glen Ullin for a delicious German dinner on Saturday, March 25 in the Catholic Church.  It was very good and I know the ladies and gentlemen must put in long hours to get ready and prepare all that fine food.  Thanks.

Again, don’t forget the Rummage Sale on June 3, 2017.  It will be a big day.  And along with that, remember to start cleaning up your yards.  It is too nice to be sitting in the house and let’s put our best foot forward as we are proud to be along the OLD RED TRAIL.

Until next time, Be Well, Do Good Works, and see you on the OLD RED TRAIL.
