Old Red Old Ten North Dakota Scenic Byway | Cities

The Old Red Old Ten Scenic Byway travels through ten communities that include Mandan, Almont, Sims, New Salem, Glen Ullin, Hebron, Richardton, Taylor, Gladstone and Dickinson.  Travel along next to Interstate 94, while taking time to visit and explore the unique shops, restaurants, historical sites and prairie landscape.

Northern Pacific Railroad

Charted in 1864, the Northern Pacific Railway advanced their western empire from the Great Lakes to Puget Sound through present day North Dakota in the 1870s.

One Room Schoolhouse (Ext. 702)

One of the more interesting chapters in North Dakotan history involves the one-room "country schools" that were scattered throughout the state from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s.
